SONR Coach Receiver is an underwater audio receiving unit designed for swim coaching and structured training sessions. It works as part of the SONR Coach radio system and receives real-time voice instructions from a compatible SONR Coach radio transmitter during practice. The receiver is intended for swim teams, coaches, and training programs that need to equip additional swimmers within an existing SONR Coach setup. When paired with a SONR Coach radio transmitter, the receiver supports both common and private channel communication, allowing coaches to deliver instructions to the entire group, communicate with individual swimmers, or manage sub-groups during training. This enables uninterrupted coaching without stopping swimmers or leaving the pool. The receiver uses bone-conduction technology to transmit sound through the cheekbones directly to the inner ear, ensuring clear audio underwater without earbuds, Bluetooth, or in-ear components. This design provides stable and reliable performance in pool and open-water environments where conventional waterproof headphones are ineffective. The receiver can be worn under a swim cap or attached to goggle straps and is lightweight enough for kids, teens, and adults. For optimal sound clarity, the use of earplugs is recommended. The operating range reaches up to 984 ft (300 m) in open water and up to 164 ft (50 m) in pools, with an operating depth of up to 3 ft (1 m).
